90-year-old daredevil skydives
IT WAS third time lucky for aspiring skydiver Clem Higgins or "Poppy" as he's known by family.
Sunday's sunny weather allowed the great grandfather, 90, to jump into the sky at over 3660m (12,000 feet).
Tandem master Paul Turner said the dive was about five minutes in total, with about 50 seconds of freefall.
Clem didn't appear scared after the dive, even guiding his path with the help of Paul.
On landing he was all grins and thumbs-up.
"Very, very good," he said.
"Beautiful, beautiful!"
When asked if he might attempt it again, he said "soon" and that "a lot of older people should be doing it".
