LAURA Geitz has led Australia to a 58-55 victory against the New Zealand Silver Ferns in the Netball World Cup final in Sydney.

Geitz had excellent statistics in the game, nine deflections, three gains, two intercepts and one defensive rebound.

The win was on the back of a brilliant first quarter when the Australian Diamonds led 16-7.
