Australia on track thanks to Wade ton

MATTHEW Wade became the youngest Australian wicketkeeper to score a century in the third and final Test against the West Indies, and more importantly put his side in a position to win the series.

Wade, 24, eclipsed Rod Marsh's previous record as a 25-year-old as the current Australian selector looked on with approval from the stands at Windsor Park, Dominica.

It was a whirlwind finish to Wade's innings - he took just 32 balls to race from 50 to 100.

Australia made 328 in its first innings with the West Indies 8-165 in reply.

On a spin-friendly wicket, off-spinner Nathan Lyon led the way for the visitors with 3-49.
