Bindi Irwin has bootcamp birthday

BINDI Irwin has been given a rockstar reception at Australia Zoo today as she celebrates her 14th birthday with the winner of last year's Biggest Loser series.

The Bootcamp Birthday saw Bindi arrive on the 'pink cammo carpet' alongside mum Terri and younger brother Robert.

"It's going to be an awesome day. I'm very proud of Bindi, she's an awesome sister," young Robert declared.

"Thanks everyone for coming. Without you I couldn't be the person I am,'' Bindi chipped in.

"And mum and Bob thank you so much for everything. I really do have the best mum and brother on planet earth. You truly are my inspiration and I love you very much."

Bindi said she chose the bootcamp theme "partly because of my show and because we are wildlife warriors''

"Kaki is more than just a colour, it is an attitude. It was my dad's signature colour and I'm carrying on his legacy."

Terri Irwin could not be prouder of her teenage daughter.

"She is growing up so fast and I'm so proud of her. I've ended up with the two best kids in the world."

Margie Cummins, who took out the 2012 season of Biggest Loser, was also on hand for the big day..

"I have to contain my excitement; I'm just like a little kid. She's turned into a young lady overnight. She's just gorgeous. It's going to be a fantastic day.''

Jabbawockeez, the hip-hop dance crew, which won the first season of America's Best Dance Crew, was also on hand to provide entertainment.

Cast members take to the stage wearing their signature expressionless white masks and gloves.

If Bindi was excited by the idea of playing host to the dancers, Jabbawockeez member Phi Nguyen said the feeling was mutual.

"When we heard we were visiting the home of the legendary Steve Irwin we were really excited, so to be performing for Bindi and her fans as well is a real thrill for us," he said.

"We have danced on different stages around the world, but the Crocoseum will be something completely different and we can't wait to check it out."

Children were given free entry to the Zoo to help celebrate Bindi's big day.
