THE footballs are away for a few months and the golf clubs will come out on Sunday for the Warwick Cowboys Charity Golf Day.

The event is a four-ball ambrose which suits beginners as all four team members hit off from the one spot hoping to put the ball in the most advantageous position for the next shot.

Warwick Cowboys committee member Greg Carey said after the excitement of two grand final appearances on Sunday, the club was hoping to attract more than 100 players on the day.

"We are hoping for strong support from Warwick Golf Club members and the general public,” he said.

"There will be a shotgun start at 11am.

"I am also hoping for good support from Cowboys players.

"Individual players keen for a game on Sunday can be placed in a team.”

Money raised will go towards Cowboys preparations for the 2017 TRL season.

Bookings for the day at the Warwick Golf Club pro shop on 46613664.

The Cowboys will also hold their annual trophy presentations tonight at the clubhouse. Tickets available at the door.
