Fatal traffic crash on Barwon Hwy

GOONDIWINDI Police are investigating a traffic crash on the Barwon Highway that happened this morning.

"Preliminary investigations indicate around 5.40am, a utility travelling west collided with a man riding a bicycle in the same direction on the Barwon Highway," a spokeswoman for Queensland Police Service said.

The 37-year-old cyclist was was later pronounced deceased after being transported to the Goondiwindi Hospital.

An investigation is underway by the Forensic Crash Unit.
