Fires still burning near Cunnamulla and Charleville

Fires are ablaze across south western Queensland near to Charleville, Cunnamulla and Mitchell.

Emergency Services Queensland have reported that large fires are burning around the Mitchell, Charleville, Wyandra, Cunnamulla and Thargomindah areas.

Local fire brigades and police are attending with the fires expected to keep burning for the next couple of days.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesperson said additional resources have been deployed to assist local crews.
