A CLIFTON man who allegedly defrauded a community child care centre out of about $50,000 has had his matter mentioned in court this week.

He is facing one charge of fraud and one of falsifying records.

Police allege former employee Brett Noel Bender committed the offences over a five-year period by abusing a corporate credit card.

The 48-year-old's matter was adjourned this week and is due to appear back in the Warwick Magistrates Court on January 29.
