Fry me off to London!

LONDON beckons for Yamanto McDonald's supervisor Jaide Hunt, chosen from thousands of Maccas employees to represent Australia at the Olympic Games.

The one-time netballer and touch footy player may not have been destined to represent Australia in a sport, but she will do her country proud through her profession.

The 22-year-old could be flipping burgers for athletes and thousands of spectators at the world's biggest McDonald's, constructed in the middle of the Olympic Park.

The super-sized store is expected to serve 1200 customers an hour during the Games.

She will be one of 2000 McDonald's staff from across the world chosen to work in four stores at the Olympic site.

Ms Hunt said the thrill of sampling the Olympic atmosphere first hand was yet to sink in.

It was her leadership and high-quality customer service which lead to Ms Hunt's selection in February.

"I almost had tears in my eyes. The consultant was here for my review," she said. "I remember looking at the conditions last year and thinking, no way."

She will spend one of the two weeks working behind the counters before attending some Olympic events after the hard graft is finished.

The opportunity to serve some of world's best athletes will be one of the highlights of the Olympic experience for Ms hunt.

She hopes reigning 100m Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt wanders into her queue.

"Yeah, I'm stoked about that. That will be the most outstanding part, serving some of the athletes while representing McDonald's," she said.

Mixing with the international McDonalds' crew is something Ms Hunt also is looking forward to.

"That will be exciting as well, to see how differently they do things within the organisation. My friends are excited for me. They all want me to take them with me!"
