NiE Earth's Hour

There is little doubt that Earth is in need of protection and that we need to take some positive action to address the environmental issues we face as its inhabitants. With a simple flick of the switch on Saturday, you could be part of a worldwide campaign to raise awareness of the impact we are having on our planet. By switching off the lights for 60 minutes in your home at 8:30pm on March 31, you will be joining businesses, government organisations and individuals in over 5000 cities in 135 countries around the world doing the same thing. It is expected that 1.8 billion will be showing their commitment to the environment by being involved in Earth Hour - a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) initiative - which encourages people to take action in order to create a more sustainable future for Earth.
