No drug charges in Warwick
A SEARCH warrant related to drugs carried out in Inglewood by detectives yesterday did not result in any charges being laid, the Warwick Police Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) advised this morning.
The Chronicle today reported that search warrants had been carried out in Warwick yesterday, as part of bikie gang-related drug raids in the Toowoomba region.
A CIB spokesman said no raids were conducted in Warwick, but information on drug-related crime was always being sought by local police.
Detectives yesterday shut down an illicit drug ring in Toowoomba which was allegedly run by a member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang.
Anti-bikie Taskforce Hydra joined forces with local detectives during an 11-month investigation into the illegal activities of a 40-year-old Toowoomba gang member.
About 80 police officers were involved in simultaneous raids at the Bandidos club house in Civil Crt, Harlaxton and homes yesterday morning.
