Toowoomba musicians Erin Fitzsimon and Liam Falk hope their band Inigo will win the local support slot at the upcoming Dalby One Night Stand Concert.

TOOWOOMBA musicians Erin Fitzsimon and Liam Falk hope their band Inigo's unique jazz tunes will earn them a spot supporting some of Australia's most popular artists.

The duo have uploaded their music to radio station Triple J's unearthed website in an attempt to gain national attention and win a spot on the upcoming Dalby One Night Stand bill.

Up to 10,000 people are expected to converge on Dalby when nationally acclaimed artists The Temper Trap, 360, Stonefield and Matt Corby perform a free concert at the town's showgrounds on June 2.

"Hosting an event in our community presents such an amazing opportunity for regional artists who do not get the same chance as artists from major cities," Miss Fitzsimon said.

Artists and bands from the Dalby, Toowoomba and surrounding areas are being urged to get their music uploaded to the unearthed website this week if they want a chance to perform at the concert.

They need to go to triplejunearthed.com and select South East Country QLD as their region.

Entries close on Sunday.
