Pedrosa trails Lorenzo by 13 points

IT was a final-corner thriller at the Czech MotoGP yesterday with Spain's Dani Pedrosa surging past fellow countryman Jorge Lorenzo in Brno to narrow Lorenzo's lead in the riders' championship.

He is now on 232 points, 13 points behind Lorenzo in the standings with six races remaining.

Pedrosa, coming off a win Indianapolis last weekend, overtook the championshiop leader midway through the race but needed to pass again at the end after losing his lead in the middle of the last lap.

Britain's Cal Crutchlow finished third to claim his first podium spot of the season.
