Powerline group set for action
A COMMUNITY reference group (CRG) has been compiled to develop a solution to the contentious issue of the proposed Stanthorpe to Warwick powerline.
Facilitator John Dengate said 12 people had expressed their interest in the group and all had been successful.
He said he was hopeful the group would hold its first meeting as soon as next week before working toward a solution that pleases all interested parties.
"The CRG is seen as a process of addressing the issues and coming up with a route that suits both the community and Ergon," he said.
Mr Dengate said he planned to recommend that CRG meetings are open to media and members of the public, to allow the group's progress to be easily monitored by all members of the community.
