Returning customers a sign of success

IT'S been nearly a year since Glenn and Nerida Eastwell decided to embark on their next business venture, We R Signs.

The owners of Ranbuild came up with the concept of the sign, printing and banner manufacturing business when weighing up their annual Ranbuild budget.

"For our business we had to pay for signage to display on our shed construction sites," Mrs Eastwell said.

After some thought, the locals decided to take a more economical approach and simply print out their own and keep costs down for other businesses with signage needs.

"It was Glenn's idea," Mrs Eastwell said.

"It's been a real learning curve".

While both Mr and Mrs Eastwell run Ranbuild downstairs, Ros D'Arcy designs, prints and manages the We R Signs workshop upstairs with the assistance of Terry Butler.

"I love my job, every day is different," Ms D'Arcy said, responsible for the design and print components of the company.

With the help of a high-tech Hybrid UV Direct printer, one of only 32 in Australia, the company can print directly onto any material instead of a sticker which needs to be transferred.

This step saves time and money in the process.

"We have printed something nine metres in length but the printer can just keep going," manager Mrs D'Arcy said.

"The fact that we have repeat customers already really shows our work is appreciated".
