Roosters overpower Knights
THE Roosters took advantage of an injury-ridden Newcastle to win 24-6 at Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The victory was built on a four-try effort with Tinirau Arona, Mitch Aubusson, Sam Perrett and Mitchell Pearce crossing the stripe and moves the Roosters to a 5-4 record from nine matches.
Braith Anasta landed three conversions and a penalty goal.
Jarrod Mullen posted the Knights' lone try with Wes Naiqama adding the extras.
The Roosters were making their first appearance since their epic 28-24 Anzac Day loss to St George Illawarra at the same venue.
