MEMBER for Southern Downs Lawrence Springborg has been sworn in as Minister for Health in the Newman LNP Government this morning.

Mr Springborg was officially sworn in by Governor Penelope Wensley at Government House, along with 18 other Ministers and Assistant Ministers appointed to Cabinet by Premier Campbell Newman.

Mr Springborg has vowed as Minister he will ensure frontline health personnel receive the resources they require to improve patient care and outcomes, but has made it clear there will be no "overnight miracles" in Queensland Health.
