Swans strike with easy win over Lions
SYDNEY tuned up for next week's big clash against West Coast with a comprehensive 47-point win over Brisbane at the SCG on Saturday night.
The Lions kicked the opening three goals of the match, but that was the last real positive of the match for the visitors, as the Swans blitzed them to win 16.14 (110) to 9.7 (63).
Sydney had a big night from its tall forwards with the Swans' twin towers Sam Reid and Adam Goodes having nine goals between them.
Reid in particular was unstoppable early, having a break-out game with six goals.
Sydney defender Ted Richards told Grandstand coach John Longmire had spoken about Reid's attack on the ball in his post-match talk.
