HAWKES Bay's annual outdoor film festival runs December 27 to January 6 at the purpose-built amphitheatre at Black Barn Vineyards in Havelock North.

Movie-goers can enjoy wine and snacks from the in-house caterers or bring a picnic of their own.

Everything on show

The Whangarei Summer Show brings town and country together with an exciting mix of equestrian events, farm animals and entertainment. It runs December 3-4 at Barge Showgrounds Events Centre.

Rhythms of the south

The award-winning Rhythm and Vines festival in Gisborne has a new sister act called Rhythm and Alps, which will be held December 28-29 at Terrace Downs Resort near Mt Hutt. The line-up includes 34 international and local acts.
