Flash request lands man in court

A COURT has heard a Warwick man asked a woman - in less than eloquent language - to show him her breasts before becoming embroiled in a fist fight with her boyfriend.

Police patrolling the Warwick CBD in the early hours of September 15 observed Reginald Ambrose Hooper "rolling around on the ground" and exchanging blows with another man.

When police spoke with the victim, who suffered a blood nose as a result of the fight, he told police Hooper and two other men had made derogatory comments to his girlfriend.

He said the woman felt harassed by the trio and claimed they urged her to take her top off.

Hooper denied the claim, declaring he was the victim and his friend had been injured by the other man just nine minutes earlier.

The Warwick Magistrates Court yesterday heard Hooper was argumentative and aggressive toward police at the time of the incident.

Police prosecutor Steve de Lissa told the court Hooper had a criminal history that spanned four pages, with his last court appearance just six months ago.

Hooper pleaded guilty to public nuisance and was fined $500.

He was also banned from attending the Horse and Jockey Hotel for three months.
