Withcott woman hurt in crash

A 27-YEAR-OLD Withcott woman was taken to Toowoomba Hospital after the car she was driving collided heavily with a power pole on the down section of the Toowoomba Range.

Emergency crews were called to the scene in the 100kmh section near the bottom of the range shortly after 9am this morning.

They arrived to find the woman was already out of the vehicle.

Toowoomba firefighter Peter Robinson said passers-by had stopped to help the woman.

She was taken to hospital to be assessed for spinal injuries.

Traffic was restricted to one lane while the scene was cleared.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
