Warwick goal scorers (from left) Millicent Kelly, Lydia Wallace, Lauren Eastwell and goalie Lauren Drewery after the 3-0 win.
“IT was lovely to score a goal” was the reaction from Lauren Eastwell after she netted in the 3-0 Warwick win against Redlands in yesterday's final pool game in the Queensland under-15 girls' hockey championships at Queen's Park.
After starting the day with a 3-0 loss to Tweed Border 2, Warwick put together its best game of the tournament at 11.45am yesterday to go into the play-offs for 9th to 12th positions in division 2.
Lauren Eastwell and Millicent Kelly scored their first goals of the tournament and Lydia Wallace scored her second of the week in the win.
Coach Shannon Armbruster said Hayley Millard and Lauren Eastwell were the best players in a fine team win.
“Sarah Kane was again brilliant at the back,” Armbruster said.
