No freedom for man on rage charges

THE grey nomad who was allegedly involved in two road-rage incidents last Saturday will have to leave his caravan behind as he spends the next 14 days in a correctional centre at Wacol awaiting his next hearing in the Warwick Magistrates Court.

Thomas George Brennan faced 11 charges yesterday, including two counts of wilful damage of police property, two counts of acts intended to resist lawful arrest, two counts of wilful damage, one count of an act intended to cause grievous bodily harm, police obstruction, assault occasioning bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop a motor vehicle.

The handcuffed 51-year-old bowed his head as he left the court house after his matter was adjourned, set to appear again on February 24.

Brennan has no fixed place ofaddress but formerly lived in Toowoomba. There was no application for bail yesterday.
