Warwick writers Marcella and Lindsay Berry showcase their series Smitten, which is based on their family.

LINDSAY and Marcella Berry of Warwick have been painstakingly penning books on their family history.

But these books are not available in any old book store. They are for the Berry’s personal library, a documentation of their lives for future generations.

The series is called Smitten and the Berrys have already finished the first three instalments, with another four in the pipeline.

There is something for all bookworms with titles ranging from childhood to romance and cooking to travel.

When asked about the painstaking research process Mr Berry said “we’re sort of hoarders and we had stuff stuck around the house everywhere”.

It has taken nine months of hard work and dedication to get to where they are now.

“We got the printer in about August, 2008, and it took us about six or eight months to sort of copy everything available,” Mr Berry said.

“It took a while to actually work out which section we were going to start with so we said we’ll start with ourselves.”

There is plenty to come, with some future editions set to date back to their ancestors.

“I think we’ll be writing forever,” Mrs Berry said.
