Services day
THE township of Pratten will be the scene of an Emergency Services Day tomorrow, hosted by Southern Downs Regional Council.
Drop in to Heritage Park in Pratten and see the latest high-tech emergency equipment and vehicles. Meet local firefighters, police, SES groups and paramedics.
Emergency Services Day is a great opportunity for the community to learn more about preparing themselves and their families for disasters and emergency events.

Polocrosse action
MORGAN Park will spring to life this weekend as hundreds of horses and riders converge on Warwick for the Barastoc Interstate Polocrosse Series.
This is a chance for the community to see some of Australia's best players, plus enjoy games played by children right through to masters at the Shell Cup Club Carnival.

Car boot sale
WHEATVALE State School is holding a car boot sale on Sunday in the school grounds.
There will be a huge number of stalls for visitors to browse though and explore items including plumeria, Tupperware, soap products, coffee, pottery, outdoor play equipment and much more.
The event is sponsored by Warwick Credit Union, Woodshed Slab Furniture and Warwick Hotel and Imperial Steakhouse.
There will also be free activities for the kids supplied by Warwick Bunnings.
All proceeds go to the Wheatvale State School P&C Association.

Trivia night
GET your thinking caps on and head to Goomburra Hall tonight for a bit of trivia.
The cost is $10 a head and teams can be up to 10 members.
Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available and all proceeds from the evening will go to the ongoing maintenance and repair of Goomburra Hall.
Doors open at 6pm and trivia will start from 7pm.

AFL at home
THE Warwick Redbacks will return to the Warwick Credit Union oval tomorrow afternoon for an important ladder-defining clash.
The first-placed Redbacks will hit up against the third- placed South Toowoomba Bombers from 2.30pm in what promises to be a tough clash.
Both first division sides from last year's competition, they are both on eight points and will be out to prove who deserves to be on top of the ladder.

Three saints
ST JOSEPH'S in Stanthorpe will celebrate the three saints with a gala day on Sunday.
As well as a special mass, the day will include live music from the Let's Dance Band, market stall and food and drink.
The event starts at 10.30am with the markets and concludes at 6.30pm with a fireworks spectacular.

JUNIOR soccer will take over Queens Park on Saturday morning with more than 300kids getting a game in.

Go fishing
GRAB a permit from the post office or from Tackle and Tusk in Wood St and hit the water at Leslie or Connolly Dams.
There is still plenty of water and plenty of fish, so there's no doubt you can have a bit a fun and snag a few eaters.
If you'd prefer to stay a little closer to home, grab a lawn chair and head down to the Condy.
Throw a line in and see if you can jag a Murray cod - you wouldn't be the first.

Take a walk
IF YOU haven't explored the Killarney Falls, then now is the time to do it.
