Bonfire and woolly parade
WARM up this weekend with Killarney’s annual bonfire night and be part of the new Jumpers and Jazz element, the warm and woolly parade.
To enter the parade, wear a handmade winter item of clothing – it could be knitted, crocheted, sewn, or quilted. This includes beanie, hat, jumper, vest, scarf, socks, coat, balaclava, bed socks, layette, or poncho.
There will be $100 prizes for the lovely winter woolly (quality piece of handwork and high warmth quotient) and the classic or vintage piece (item 25 years or more old and still going strong).

Jumpers and Jazz kicks off
GET dressed up as your favourite star for the Jumpers and Jazz Festival launch party and tree jumper presentation, which has a Starry Night theme and features Elegance Jazz and Three in a Low Key .

Swinging Saturday
HEAD out for dinner and a show with Love that Swing at Frankie’s on the Green – featuring the band Swing Central.
A three-course meal will also be served on the night.

Bubbles and laughter
ROTARY will host its first Jolly Jumpers Rotary Breakfast with champagne, comedy and verse with comic poet Marco Gliori.

Cowboys at home to Pittsworth
THE Warwick Cowboys will play Pittsworth Danes in three grades in Toowoomba rugby league fixtures tomorrow at Father Ranger Oval.
The under-18 game is crucial for a Warwick team aiming for a top-five spot.

Dog obedience at the showgrounds
THE Warwick Dog Obedience Club is never deterred by cold weather; it is always out and about at the Warwick Showgrounds with man’s best friends on a Sunday afternoon.

Cost: $2 members per dog, $3 non-members.
Hockey games on at Queens Park
SENIOR hockey fixtures in Warwick are on from 2pm tomorrow at Queens Park.
It will be a busy weekend for hockey players as there are working bees both tomorrow and Sunday at the grounds.

Independent meet on at raceway
THERE is more motor racing at Morgan Park Raceway this weekend with a round of the Independent Race Series.
The vehicles involved are similar to those involved in state championships.

Karters come to Sandy Creek
SOME of Australia’s top kart races will arrive in Warwick to compete in the fourth event of the Rotax Pro Tour.
All drivers will compete in seven categories and reach speeds of up to 110km/hr.
When: Today (practice only), tomorrow (qualifying and heat races) and Sunday (pre-finals and finals).
Where: Sandy Creek Raceway.

Wintercore music concert
SIX hardcore bands will take to the stage in Warwick this weekend. As Paradise Falls, the Endless Pandemic, Midnight in Alaska, Revelations, Ambitions and Because of Tomorrow will all play at Wintercore.
