Candelit vigil

THE Zonta Club of Warwick will complete their 16 Days of Activism campaining against violence against women tonight, with a peace walk and vigil at the Queens Park riverwalk.

Participants will be able to enjoy a light refreshment at the hockey club upon completion of the walk.

MARYVALE is joining in the Christmas fun with their community carols tonight.

Sizzle with Santa

KEEP your eyes peeled for the big red man's sleigh in Freestone as Santa drops in with Christmas treats for the kids and some for the adults too.

Cent sale for cancer

COME along to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation's cent sale to find loads of bargain gifts to slip in your family's Christmas stockings.

A night with Nash

WIND down from work this Friday at one of Warwick's premier meeting places for meals, gaming, functions and entertainment.

Swingin' Sixties

DRESS up in your favourite kit from the decade style forgot and enjoy the best 60s music from a fun, hippie rock cover band. The Fabulous Sounds of the 60s night will take you right back to the Velvet Underground.

Cricket fixtures

ANOTHER huge weekend for Warwick cricket this weekend.

Redbacks take on Colts in a charity match at Slade Park.

The Redbacks boys will wear specially made orange shirts to join in with the Zonta Club of Warwick's 16 Days of Activism for the eradication of violence against women.

Maryvale and Wheatvale will play each twice, firstly tomorrow from noon to make up for round one and again on Sunday at 10am.

Both games will be played at Mayhew Oval.

Sovereign will play Allora Rascals at Queens Park and Inglewood take on Allora at Allora both games from 12pm tomorrow.

Carols at Stanny

STANTHORPE will ring with the sounds of Yuletide tonight.

The entire community is invited to the sound shell and Weeroona Park for a festive occasion featuring all the old favourites and much much more.

Bring the kids, bring a blanket or a chair and bring a jumper because it might be a little chilly tomorrow night.

It all kicks off at 6pm.

JOIN in the Warwick's weekly 5km parkrun every Saturday morning.

It's free, it's fun and it will get you fit.

The event takes place by the Condamine River near Queens Park and you can run at whatever your pace.

Runners meet up to grab a post parkrun coffee in Café Jacqui's, 8 Albion St.

See a movie

GET into some airconditioned comfort and relax for an hour or two.

Wine and dine

BALLANDEAN Estate - the oldest winery in the Granite Belt - has been making great vino for over 70 years.

There are daily tours over the weekend so that you can ask those questions you have always wanted answered about your favourite drop.

The Barrel Room Cafe is open for lunch and dinner where you can relax in the company of 150 year old wine barrels.
