Jazz in the Garden hailed success

REIGNING Warwick Showgirl Kelsey Burt was one of the waitresses at Jazz in the Garden at the Grafton Rose B&B on Saturday.

“I wore my sash as we are trying to promote the showgirl competition and interest other young girls in nominating,” Ms Burt said.

“The showgirl quest is not just about the show but the community.”

Grafton Rose B&B owner Bruce McClure said the 2010 Jazz in the Garden was the best so far.

“Numbers are going up each year,” he said.

“We had 100 this year and can only cater for about 120.”

While he estimated the crowd was 75 per cent locals, he said there were visitors from Brisbane, Stanthorpe and Boonah.

Brisbane singer Kristina Kelman was part of the Fassifern Four who played in the garden.

“It was fun to drive into town looking at all the jumpers on the trees,” she said.
