2018 Miss Warwick Showgirl crowned

IT WAS the changing of the guard at the Warwick Show last night with the announcement of the winner of the 2018 Miss Warwick Showgirl quest.

In front of a large crowd during the opening of the show, Sarah Wilson was crowned Miss Warwick Showgirl for 2018.

Grace Cheal was named rural ambassador for 2018.

All weekend the girls have been out and about around the show, presenting ribbons and prizes to competition winners.

Warwick Show and Rodeo Society secretary Clancy McGahan said the Friday night crowd and ring events had been excellent.

"James Lister did a wonderful job opening the show and the fireworks were sensational," she said.

"As were the two demolition derbies, which the crowd loved."

Also held last night was a civic reception in the Douglas Feez Pavilion for the visiting Cameroon Commonwealth Games team.
