$64,000 is top bid at annual Rockhampton Brahman bull sale

A TOP price of $64,000 was achieved at the first day of the annual Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale at the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange in Gracemere on Monday.

The 978kg 31-month-old bull was offered by Margaret and Ernie Mollenhagen, Ferry Dale, Mount Perry.

He was selected by Ian and Laura Hoare, Elsey Station, Katherine, NT.

There were about 750 head on offer at the bull sale, which is the biggest in the country.

The sale wrapped up on Wednesday.
