Airport-closing ash plume should go by tomorrow
ASH plumes that caused massive disruption to flights in Darwin and Bali are expected to dissipate by tomorrow morning.
The eruption of Indonesian volcano Sangeang Api in Indonesia on Friday caused havoc for travellers heading either for Darwin or Denpasar on Saturday.
By Sunday afternoon, flights were expected to return to normal as fears the ash cloud could affect Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville airports also subsided.
Flights overseas through northern Australia were also given cautious permission to head through the area from late yesterday.
The final decision on whether or not the flights will operate is still one for the airlines themselves.
