Alleged child murder case adjourned until October

A MAN who allegedly tortured and murdered a baby in Gunalda, near Gympie, in 2012 has had his case adjourned until October.

Michael John Humphreys also stands charged in Brisbane Magistrates Court with failing to provide the necessities of life and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Police charged Humphreys, now from Beenleigh, after an 18-month investigation into the suspicious death of the one-month-old girl. - APN NEWSDESK
