Car hits power pole before falling into a ditch

A MINOR crash on Wood St tarnished what was otherwise a relatively quiet weekend for emergency services in the Rose City.

The crash occurred shortly after 9pm on Friday, when a 50-year-old man crashed his station wagon on the corner of Wood and Tooth Sts.

It is believed the man lost control, colliding with a power pole and swerving across the road before coming to rest in a ditch.

The man was transported to Warwick Hospital with a suspected hand injury.

Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
