Business to host after hours event

WHEN Ron and Chris Munro, owners of Carpet Choice Warwick, first started out four years ago, it was a piece of advice from a fellow business owner that stuck in their minds.

“The first two years of your business is a learning time,” they were told, and Chris admits it proved to be prophetic and may have, at times, sustained them.

Understanding the importance of sharing these valuable philosophies, the Carpet Choice owners are inviting the business community to their Business After Hours function tonight at 5.45pm.

Those attending not only have the chance to take a closer look at a local business, they also have the chance to mingle with others and exchange ideas.

Mrs Munro said you can always learn from listening to other people and discovering what they are doing.

“In business, it’s always good to touch base with other people trying to do the same thing as you’re doing,” she said.

“Even though everyone is from different industries, you have a lot in common.”

Business After Hours is a joint initiative of the Warwick Chamber of Commerce and the Warwick Daily News.

Tonight’s event starts at 5.45pm at Carpet Choice, 61 Wood Street, Warwick. Refreshments will be served.
