Chas Sankey Fraser Optometrist on the move

LONGSTANDING Warwick optometry practice Chas Sankey Fraser Optometrist has moved from its former Rose City Shoppingworld site opposite Bi-lo to new premises at 70 Palmerin St, next to the Warwick Town Hall.

Owner Alan Twiddle said a colourful striped awning at the front of the building made the practice very visible from the street and he was generally pleased with the move and the new premises.

"It offers us more space to do the things we do for our patients," Mr Twiddle said.

"New painting and refurbishments have transformed the premises and all of our staff have been retained.

"The usual familiar faces of receptionists Tracey, Tanya and Julie are still attending to our patients as are myself and optometrist Paul Horgan.

"All of our practice records have been retained and our usual recall notices will continue directing patients to the new location."

Mr Twiddle said as well as the big move some exciting new equipment had arrived in the form of the practice's recently installed Ocular Coherence Tomography Scanner and Retinal Camera (OCT).

"This device provides earlier detection for conditions such as glaucoma, macula degeneration and diabetic retinopathy," Mr Twiddle said.

"This equipment adds to our array of diagnostic equipment in the practice.

"The device allows us to take three-dimensional scans of the back of the eyes rather like an MRI scanner does for the rest of the body.

"The images show exceptional detail and allow us to compare your eyes over time, showing changes that would be impossible to detect without this new equipment."

This special procedure can be done during your usual scheduled eye appointment, or you can phone Tracey for an earlier assessment booking on 4661 1701.
