Clare Miiller driven to tears by new car win

WHEN Clare Miiller received a phone call from Southern Downs Realty principal licensee Brent Bowles on Saturday, the tears started running down her face.

Mrs Miiller was the winner of Southern Downs Realty's car giveaway on Saturday, taking home a Mitsubishi Mirage.

To be eligible for the giveaway, people had to exclusively list a property for rent through Southern Downs Realty, exclusively list a property for sale through Southern Downs Realty or buy a property listed by Southern Downs Realty.

Mrs Miiller said she kept asking Southern Downs Realty principal licensee Brent Bowles "are you sure?" when she got the phone call.

"It's wonderful to win, I'm so excited," she said.

"I was selling my property (through Southern Downs Realty) to move closer to town.

"I've got tears running down my face."

Mrs Miiller said she was not sure what to do with the car.

"I've already got a car so I'll have two now," she said.

"I've got to find out if it's a manual or automatic because I can only drive an automatic.

"I've got plenty of family members who would love it so I'll decide what to do with it.

"If I don't keep it, it will probably go to a family member."

Mr Bowles said it was a nice feeling to give the car away.

"The giveaway has worked very well," Mr Bowles said.

"We've had quite a few entries.

"It's nice to be giving back to the community."
