IT TOOK 130 years for the indigenous victims of a massacre in the Northern Territory to be recognised.
A plaque commemorating the people who died in the Woolwonga tragedy in 1884 at Burrundie, 200km south of Darwin, now marks the site of the tragedy.
Only one person survived the massacre - a young girl called Jennie.
