Geared up for challenge as new mechanic opens
A NEW challenge is why mechanics Sam Baker and Tim Hentschel decided to open a new mechanic and auto electrical shop in Warwick, SnJ Precision Automotive and High Voltage Auto Electrical.
The duo, who are both from Allora, completed their apprenticeships at B&K Motors.
Mr Baker is handling the automotive side of the business while Mr Hentschel the auto electrical.
SnJ Precision deals with new car log book servicing, brakes, suspension and repairs on all types of cars including 4WDs.
The plan is also to perform roadworthy inspections.
Mr Hentschel is providing a mobile auto electrical service to all residents including those in rural areas.
The reception is manned by Mr Baker's wife Jess.
Jess said the reason for opening the business was because they had a family now.
"We are trying to get ahead in life," she said.
"We just wanted to do something on our own and for a bit of a challenge."
Their digs are the former Eastside Tyre and Mechanical building in Percy St.
"We have renovated the reception area and made it a bit more modern," Jess said.
The workshop has also had a revamp with a new floor and new equipment.
Although only opening the garage doors on July 22, Mrs Baker said business had been good. To book in for a repair phone the office on 4661 5652.
