Warwick under 18s in TRL final

WARWICK won 20-14 against Dalby in the under-18 major semi-final in the TRL competition to put them through to the grand final.

It puts Warwick in its first grand final since the reserve-grade side won in 2009.

Warwick has a week off and will play the winner of this weekend's Dalby and Valleys preliminary final in the grand final on August 31 at Clive Berghofer Stadium.

Brook Croft made it four tries in two games and played a starring role in the game.

Croft said he was playing the best footy of his career.

"The main thing is we are all great mates," Croft said.

Warwick trailed 10-4 at half-time but Croft said he was still confident.

"Everyone just put in 100% in the second half," he said.

Croft is in his second year in the under-18 grade and wants to add to his two premierships with Collegians in juniors.

"I would rather play Dalby in the grand final but we can beat Valleys if they happen to win the preliminary final," Croft said.

"Next year, I want to play A-grade."

Coach David O'Leary said he couldn't fault his forward pack.

"It was an outstanding team effort again," he said.
