A crafty way to attract a crowd

MOTHER Nature was kind to organisers of the Airing of the Quilts this year, with glorious weather shining on the weekend-long event.

Buses and cars carried visitors from such places as the Gold Coast and Brisbane to enjoy the craft, music and stalls scattered throughout the sprawling gardens of the Glenrose B&B.

Owner Glenis Pugliese said she was pleased to see so many people supporting the event, which raises funds for breast and prostate cancers.

"It was amazing to see the amount of people who attended and the weather was just perfect," she said.

"We had five busloads of people attend and we have had so many comments on what a great day they have had."
