A good start to football season for Wolves

JAYDEN Webb and Sam McLennan were the scorers as the Warwick Wolves Colts drew 2-all with City in round 1 of Stanthorpe football at the weekend.

Warwick won the senior game 4-0 to herald a successful start to the season following the move from Toowoomba to Stanthorpe competitions.

Coach Jon Pearson said all the colts' goals from both sides were in the first half.

"Jayden Webb was strong up front while Jorge Muehlebach and Daniel King were two of the best. The whole 12 played well," Pearson said.

"We have 14 players registered for the season but two were unavailable on Saturday.

Pearson said his players were impressed by the quality of the C.F. White Oval surface at Stanthorpe.

Warwick will host International on Saturday at Queens Park with games at 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
