A Noble race victory

BRISBANE motor racing driver Geoff Noble drove his Lotus Elise to victory in the Queensland Super Sprint Series meeting at Morgan Park Raceway at the weekend.

Warwick District Sporting Car Club president Bill Campbell said the meeting attracted 105 drivers.

"Geoff won the sports car class and was first overall. He is a regular in super sprints," Campbell said.

Noble won the nationals in 2010 at Morgan Park Raceway as well as last year's series, so he is a strong chance to win this year's series.

Warwick winners included Hayden Haidley in the junior class and Darryl Bender in pre-1972 classic touring cars 2-3 litre.

Len Don was another trophy winner from Warwick.

This weekend driver training, rather than competition, will be the focus at Morgan Park

On June 8-9, Round 2 of the CAMS Queensland Motor Racing Championships will be held at Morgan Park Raceway.

The event will be promoted by the Queensland Racing Drivers Association. The Independent Race Series is on June 16-17.
