A tale of three journeys inspires women at Zonta breakfast

THEY say all good things come in threes, something the guests at the Zonta International Women's Day Breakfast would have to agree with.

This year the Zonta Club of Warwick decided to invite guest speakers Rebecca Lancaster, Hailey Cosh and Julie Hauff to share their inspirational stories with a strong crowd of local women - with plenty of laughter and tears along the way.

For 15 years the Zonta International Women's Day Breakfast has united and empowered local women, says club member Faye Marley.

"It's always been an opportunity to bring women together and be motivated by one another," she said.

"One of the best things has been inviting the senior girls from the schools in Warwick."

There was also special recognition of the contribution of another young woman to the community, with the presentation of the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award. The award was presented to Scots PGC College student Alice Wu, who said she was honoured to be recognised.

"The breakfast has really inspired me - it makes me think how life isn't always how we think it is," she said.
