Great trip: Warwick Horticultural Society president Graham Gillam encouraged garden lovers to experience a trip to the ABC Gardening Australia Tour in Brisbane.

ABC tour bloomin' good fun

HIS father was a rose guru with over 250 roses in his yard and Graham Gillam is now on the hunt for some of the roses his father use to grow and hopes to find them at this year’s ABC Gardening Australia Tour.

The Horticultural Society president has invited Rose City residents to experience the tour on a coach trip to the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at Southbank tomorrow.

Mr Gillam said there would be experts from a variety of different societies at the tour and there would be plenty of opportunities to get gardening questions answered.

“I’ve got on to some different sprays and fertiliser for my roses. It’s good to learn new things,” Mr Gillam said.

“There are about eight seats left for anyone who wants to come along. There is a lot to learn there.”

The trip costs $50 per person, which includes coach fare and entry ticket to the Expo leaving Warwick tomorrow at 8am and returning at 5pm. Call 4661 1414.
