Polocrosse action begins

POLOCROSSE players from across the state are converging on the Southern Downs this weekend for the Queensland State Championships.

The championships are being held today and for the rest of the weekend at Cunningham Polocrosse Club at the Bony Mountain Recreation Reserve.

With 77 teams competing over three days in three divisions - open, mixed and junior - it is bound to be a spectacular event.

Starting at 8am each day, the teams will compete and try to qualify for the finals starting on Sunday.

There is not just polocrosse going on, there is also entertainment and competitions.

Admission to the event costs $20 for adults for a three-day exclusive pass, $10 for a one-day pass and $5 for juniors under 16, which is a one-day or three-day pass.

If you want to saddle up and head out west, follow the polocrosse signs and enjoy a weekend of fast-paced polocrosse and action.
