After a successful weekend of trial games in conjunction with the Australian Junior Classic at Albury, the Australian World Cup team is in Warwick for one of the biggest polocrosse weekends of the season.

The Australian team trained yesterday at Morgan Park as it prepares for a trip to South Africa for this year's World Cup.

The team includes two Queensland players, Lauren Cant from the Cunningham club and Trent Collins from Tansey. Cant is from Western Australia but is playing her second season for Cunningham.

Last weekend, the Australian team won all its games against development teams at Albury which included Queensland trio Zac Cochrane (Warwick), Andrew Phillips (Tansey) and Beau Moore (Tansey). Separate development teams have been selected to play against the Australian World Cup team in Warwick this weekend.

Australian team member Lucy Grills said the games were helping to adapt the team to the planned style of play.

Play starts at 10am tomorrow in the Barastoc Interstate Series with Queensland and New South Wales meeting in under-21 womens. Shell Cup club polocrosse will also be played.
