Adopted Maroon confident

WITH Queensland halfway to its seventh consecutive State of Origin series win, devout supporter Hugh Inmon could not be happier.

The seven-year-old former New South Welshman, who had never seen his home state win, wisely jumped the proverbial fence when he crossed the border.

Hugh said he was happy when Queensland won the first State of Origin game on Wednesday night.

"I was a bit worried when NSW scored the first try but was happy when they were winning at half time," he said.

"I wasn't worried when it got close again because I know Queensland could do it."

This passionate supporter, whose favourite player is Cameron Smith, said despite the series outcome he will continue to support the mighty Maroons.
