Adventure for kindy kids

ALLORA Community Kindergarten children went on an adventure yesterday on their annual walkathon event to raise money for equipment for the kindergarten.

The children, teachers, parents and grandparents participated in the 2km walk from the kindergarten to Dalrymple Reserve Park and back.

Kindergarten teacher Fiona Milburn said the walk raised money to purchase more equipment for the children, who will be involved in the choice of products purchased.

“What we are going to do is get the children invloved in the choice of what we are going to buy and get them to understand money,” she said.

Four-year-old Abby McLucas had a great time on the walk to raise money for her kindergarten as they explored the town on the way.

“We went to the park and had a play and saw the creek and my dad in the police car and he put the siren on,” she said.
