Air and sea search finds drowned 29-year-old man

POLICE will prepare a report for the Coroner following the drowning death of a man at Elliott Heads yesterday afternoon.

Preliminary information indicates that the man was swimming with friends around 12.40pm when he got into difficulty.

An air and sea search, including helicopters, boats, a jetski and RIBs was commenced.

Officers from Hervey Bay Water Police located the body of the 29-year-old foreign national around 9.50pm last night.
