Albion St project just the beginning of roadworks

MOTORISTS could be in for a rough ride in coming weeks, as works continue on some of Warwick's busiest roads.

Weeks-long activity on Albion St is preparing to wrap up by the end of the week, but Wood St is the next highway to get a makeover.

Transport and Main Roads spokeswoman Abbie Ramos said the works were part of a state initiative.

"We are carrying out repairs and surfacing works on Albion St,” Mrs Ramos said.

"Works will improve the road's long-term condition and provide a better surface for motorists.”

Other upcoming roadworks include the Wood and Guy St intersection and the Wood St stretch between Albion and Guy Sts, with activity to begin later this month.

All work is expected to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.

Local traffic has been disrupted in Albion St since construction began in early June.
